The computer I type on isn’t my own. I’m in that curious way station of a Business Centre inside the Grand Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, awaiting a room I can crawl into for a nap. Sleep deprivation is real on these trips to Toronto, where I get in early enough from my flight to eat breakfast in a local diner, but too early for the hotel.
My eyes are halfway shut, and I half expect to fall asleep somewhere in the middle of writing this post, but the desire to stay lucid long enough to crawl into my room is strong.
Edit: January 7th, 2019
I fell asleep on the keyboard. They found me a room a few minutes later.
